Research Poster Competition (RPC-2017) involves the student research activities (poster and oral presentations) which make a significant contribution to MAHE's objectives of creating, synthesizing and disseminating knowledge. MAHESRF this year has provided a RPC platform to the UG and PG students of the MAHEversity to present their ideas in the form of research work.
The fourth edition of Research Poster Competition (RPC-2017) was organized through MAHESRF, under the aegis of Directorate of Research (DoR), MAHEversity (MAHE), Manipal on 6th April, 2017 during the Manipal Research Colloquium (MRC-2017). A total of 189 students from both Manipal and Mangalore campus of the University, Constituent institutions, University teaching departments and Research Centres (Chiefly, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and Mangalore; Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal and Mangalore; Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal; Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal; Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal; Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal; Department of Statistics, Manipal; Division of Yoga, Manipal; School of Life Sciences, Manipal; School of Management, Manipal; Manipal College of Natural Sciences, Manipal; School of ComMAHEnication, Manipal; Faculty of Architecture, Manipal) have taken part during the one-day meet of RPC-2017. RPC-2017 included 189 number of research abstracts; 87 from the Health Sciences, 35 from the Technical Sciences, 48 from the Basic Sciences and 19 from the Management Sciences. In total, 111 full papers of the related abstracts have been submitted by the students; 59 from the Health Sciences, 21 from the Technical Sciences, 20 from the Basic Sciences and 11 from the Management Sciences. The competition included 150 posters and 39 oral presentations in total. All the posters and oral presentations were evaluated by 42 MAHE faculties in total. During valedictory of the MRC-2017, best oral and poster presentations of RPC-2017 (first prize, second prize and consolation prizes) were awarded to the awardees by the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences), MAHE, Manipal, Dr. Poornima Baliga and the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Technical Sciences), MAHE, Manipal, Dr. G.K. Prabhu. The winners of Health and Basic Sciences were announced by the MAHESRF Health Science Mentor, Dr. B S Satish Rao and the winners of Technical and Management Sciences were announced by the MAHESRF Technical Science Mentor, Dr. Raviraja Adhikari.
